TCA Objectives
Youth Leadership - Global Education - Community Engagement

The Change Academy (TCA) is a unique immersive leadership learning opportunity for globally minded high school youth, allowing them to meet together on the Hawaiian islands during the summer. The Change Academy offers hands-on, project-based learning, team building, and cross-cultural dialogue. The experience will foster leadership skills and motivation for youth participants who want to take positive action in their communities and will equip students with critical 21st-century skills.

Throughout the intensive program and beyond, participants develop knowledge, awareness, confidence, and skills on each learning stage to become a true change-maker!

TCA Active Learning

​​All programs are based on active learning models through which participants have the opportunity to engage in problem-solving discussions and activities. As their mentors and facilitators, college students and professionals from Hawai'i promote active participation and also interaction between the participants.
